When it’s all said and done, Langasque could end up being one of the more accomplished players in the field. The 22-year-old Frenchman won the 2015 Amateur Championship and parlayed his two subsequent starts in majors into made cuts.

Langasque rode the wave to a ninth-place finish on the Challenge Tour in 2016 to earn his European Tour card.

He came out firing in 2017, making seven straight cuts to start the year, including a T10 at the Australian PGA.

Green Eagle tops out at close to 8,000 yards this week (albeit as a par 73), which shouldn’t be overwhelming for Langasque. He’s 33rd on Tour in distance (304.3 yards) and 45th in greens in regulation (70.3%). Without too much trouble apparently lurking at Green Eagle, his driving inaccuracy (167th, 55.1%) may not be too big of an issue if the putter cooperates (178th, 30.3 putts per round).
