With a spot in the DP World Championship nearly locked up (top 60 on the European Tour), the next step for David Lipsky appears to be a win.

Once a winner at the 2014 Omega European Masters, the 29-year-old American has had one of his best seasons on Tour to date.

He was most recently in contention at the BMW International Open a month ago with a T10 finish. Lipsky also took second at the Maybank Championship and T5 at the Shenzhen International.

Four missed cuts in a row coming into this week at Rolex Series events and the Open Championship aren’t great signs as far as expecting Lipsky to compete against elite competition, but this week’s relaxed environment should make him feel right at home.

Albeit at a different course, Lipsky tied for 28th at the 2016 European Open in Germany.

His stats won’t blow you away, but his solid wedge game can keep him in the mix at most any track.
