Barracuda Championship: Top 10 power rankings for Reno
Thanks to a consistent summer, Martin has himself inside the top 125 of the FedEx Cup race.
His made cut streak ended at nine last week in Canada, but it doesn’t take away from Martin being among those in line to win this week.
He picked up two top-10s in the span and has already proven he can get it done when he won at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in 2014.
Further, Martin returns to Montreux where he fared well in 2016. Martin tied for seventh and had a chance to win alongside Greg Chalmers in the final group on Sunday. He had the only negative point total in tough conditions to drop back.
Martin’s overall stats won’t wow you, but at 35th in fairway proximity, Martin should get himself good looks on the green this week.
This is his second start in the modified Stableford format.
