After 36 holes of a slightly better than mediocre performance in very testing conditions Mi Hyang Lee came rocketing up the leaderboard at the Ladies Scottish Open. She closed a 9-hole gap in 36 holes and clawed her way past Carlota Cignada, Cristie Kerr, and Karrie Webb to claim the victory, her second LPGA title.

To say Lee found her game at Dundonald Links is a bit of an understatement. Her Sunday 6-shot comeback is the greatest this season an an LPGA event.

While it’s unlikely that Lee could stage a second upset victory this week, given the strength of her game at Dundonald she certainly has demonstrated the ability to successfully navigate the tricky links environment. That’s how she got the bottom slot in my power rankings for Kingsbarns.
