WGC-Bridgestone Invitational: Top five sleepers in the Firestone CC field

Just two months ago, young Renato Paratore of Italy closed out multiple European Tour winners Matthew Fitzpatrick, Chris Wood and Thorbjorn Olesen at the Nordea Masters.

Paratore burst onto the scene in his run to the 2013 Amateur Championship quarterfinals at age 16. The next November, Paratore earned his European Tour card as the youngest player in the field.

Now age 20, 21 in December, Paratore is earning fans for his speedy pace of play and unique swing.

He’s been prone to posting a big number here and there, but often does well to post a good score despite lacking a dominant edge in any one statistic.
