Two major tournament appearances do not make any golfer a “veteran”. However, when it comes to threatening the cut line, Jeong Seong qualifies.

She barely fell short of weekend golf at the ANA Inspiration Tournament after an opening round 68 was overcome by a second round 79.

Jeong Seong also missed the cut at the U.S. Open by four strokes.

Despite the near misses, Jeong Seong is slowly gathering tournament experience against the world’s best. Her U.S. Open was more consistent golf from start to finish.

If she can find a couple more of those 68s in her bag at Kingsbarns Golf Links, don’t be surprised if she begins to ascend the leaderboard and put a scare into those paid professionals.
