Emily Kristine Pedersen, the 2015 LET Rookie of the Year, is an ideal wild card pick for Team Europe. She’s an emerging star among the European players who turned pro in 2015 and promptly notched her first victory at the Hero Women’s Indian Open.

Pedersen’s not lacking in team match play experience. As an amateur she twice represented Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup and once in the Junior Solheim Cup. This is a natural transition for the young Dane.

After playing two years on the Ladies European Tour Pedersen transitioned to the LPGA where she’s currently playing her rookie year. She’s not missed a cut until the Ricoh Women’s British Open and in six of her nine LPGA starts she’s finished inside the top-25 in the field.

Although Pedersen’s putting is a bit weak she otherwise carries a solid game in her bag. Look for her to do her part to help Team Europe play for the win.
