Suzann Pettersen is playing her 9th Solheim Cup this year and should be in line behind Catriona Matthew to take on some administrative responsibilities for Team Europe in the coming years. However, Pettersen may have permanently tarnished her potential for future Solheim Cup leadership during that disgraceful moment at St. Leon-Rot when she denied Alison Lee a conceded putt.

That said, Suzann Pettersen has compiled an impressive and successful match play record over her last 8 Solheim Cup appearances. She knows the individual games of most of the Team USA players quite well and she’s a relentless competitor.

Pettersen’s a proven Team Europe commodity. Expect Captain Sörenstam to pair her with Anna Nordqvist, Carlota Ciganda, or Chalrey Hull for the most challenging contests and expect Team USA to erect their full defenses against her.
