Solheim Cup: Team Europe ready to take the tee at Des Moines

Karine Icher is bringing the steadying element of experience and maturity to Team Europe. The 38-year old Frenchwoman has been competing since she was a teenager. As an amateur she played on the European Team at the European Team Championship and the Women’s Amateur Team Championship.

In addition to her Solheim Cup appearances, she’s represented France at the World Cup and played in 2016 on the European team at The Queens.

Icher pairs easily and readily and she’s a skilled fourballs competitor. With four rookies on the team look for Captain Sōrenstam to be turning to Icher for some of their pairings.
