Solheim Cup: Team Europe ready to take the tee at Des Moines
We got a good look at Jodi Ewart Shadoff’s fighting spirit during the final round of the Ricoh Women’s British Open. She battled her way up the leaderboard in torrential rain to card a stunning 8-under 64 and get within two shots of IK Kim. It was a simply amazing performance and any doubt about Ewart Shadoff’s golfing skill and mental tenacity in adverse and testing conditions has been dispelled.
Although she’s bringing only a single Solheim Cup experience to the Team Europe table, it’s a good one. She and Catriona Matthew defeated Jessica Korda and Morgan Pressel in their foursomes match; and Ewart Shadoff handily put down Brittany Lincicome in their singles match.
