With 4 Solheim Cup appearances on her résumé Michelle Wie will be among the most senior members of Team USA.

Wie has a solid Solheim Cup history. Overall, she bringing a 50% win/lose rate to the 2017 competition, although her 2015 performance was a bit below average. However, given that Wie was battling injury and personal demons in 2015, her singles match victory over Caroline Hedwall – her only point on the 2015 leaderboard – was a singular victory. It boosted the Americans over the edge into winning territory in their comeback Sunday romp across the St. Leon-Rot track.

Wie and Cristie Kerr have a long history of successful pairings in foursomes and fourball matches and Wie’s match play experience could prove invaluable in a pairing with any of Team USA’s rookies.
