PGA Championship: DraftKings lineup tips for Quail Hollow
For only being priced at $6,800, there may not be a better low-risk, high-reward pick in DraftKings play this week than Zach Johnson. For just $200 more, you could make a play at someone like Ian Poulter, Kevin Kisner, or Peter Uihlein, but remember, every dollar saved down here is free to use at the top of the lineup.
For a return on investment pick, nobody is heating up more than the former Masters and Open champion. In his last three starts, Johnson has three straight top-15 finishes. He finished tied for fifth at the John Deere Classic, and on Sunday was the solo runner-up to Hideki Matsuyama at Firestone. Johnson has also missed just three cuts since January, so he’s a solid bet to be around for the weekend.
Better yet, Zach Johnson checks off every possible “experience” box you could look for. He’s played 38 career tournament rounds at Quail Hollow, and most recently, in 2014, he finished tied for 14th. A tie for sixth in 2011, T-11 in 2009 (despite a closing 76), and T-25 in 2008 are among his strong finishes in Charlotte.
So much of daily fantasy success is in finding a “diamond in the rough” type of player. Too many players won’t look this far down the salary list for such a solid value. Don’t be the guy to miss this one.
