With seven top-25 finishes in his last eight PGA TOUR starts heading into Quail Hollow, you have to like the form that Paul Casey is bringing to the year’s final major championship. To top it all off, that stretch includes all three majors (counting a Friday 77 at the Open), The PLAYERS and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational last week.

To say that Casey has been solid this year is just the start of the story, especially when you consider the tournaments he’s chosen to play. With basically no exceptions, Casey’s 2016-17 schedule has included some of the toughest fields in golf, and he’s done everything except win.

Only recently becoming a full-time PGA TOUR player, Casey’s experience at Quail Hollow is admittedly limited, and not particularly impressive. However, with the redesigned track and a renewed focus, Casey can still be a valuable tool in your DraftKings lineup.

Casey ranks 50th on TOUR in birdie average (3.76 per round), but he’s also sixth in adjusted scoring – he’ll put up plenty of birdies, but he doesn’t give it back with untimely bogeys very frequently. His skills around the green are what can set him apart from a Fantasy perspective. Casey is fifth on TOUR in scrambling, at a clip of 65.42% of pars saved when he misses the green.

The 40-year-old Casey brings a level of predictability and stability to your lineup, and that’s going to be even more valuable when we look at our next pick.
