Wyndham Championship: Top 10 power rankings for Sedgefield
Looking so under control on Sunday at the PGA, Kevin Kisner couldn’t quite seal the deal for his maiden major championship.
If anyone knows how to battle back, though, it’s Kisner. After three playoff losses in which he played well in all of them in 2015, Kisner broke through at the end of the year at the RSM Classic.
For years, Kisner battled to earn his PGA Tour card bouncing back and forth from the Web.com Tour. Now a mainstay on Tour, he’s still got a respectable grittiness to him that makes you believe he’ll recharge for this week.
It’s always tough to predict how a player will fare the next week after going through the ringers of contention. This is Kisner’s third week playing in a row, but he’s been in fine form this summer with a win at Colonial and a T6 at the Memorial.
Kisner tied for 10th at the Wyndham in 2016 and as a South Carolinian, he’s accustomed to putting Bermuda greens. The Kis is also 14th on Tour in driving accuracy, which bodes well for this week.
