It’s been six long, long years since Lucas Glover last took home a winner’s check on the PGA Tour. In 2011, he triumphed at Quail Hollow, and he wound up that year finishing 45th in the FedEx Cup.

2017 hasn’t been quite as kind to the 37-year-old, but you wouldn’t know it to look at Glover. Ranked 54th in the FedEx Cup race, Glover has four top-ten finishes on the year, with his most recent coming at The PLAYERS Championship. Overall, he appears to be rejuvenated and ready for the end-of-season run that should take him to at least the BMW Championship.

First, however, there’s work to be done at Sedgefield. In his last two trips to the Wyndham, Glover has a pair of top-25 finishes, with a 30th-place showing in 2011 to boot.

That’s a solid record, but that doesn’t leave Glover without risk. He’s also missed the cut here three times in a row recently, from 2012 to 2014. That’s something to balance out, but here’s why I’m rolling with Glover.

Glover is currently ranked 35th in driving accuracy, and fifth in greens-in-regulation percentage. He’s also 29th in adjusted scoring, despite some lackluster putting at times.

In the end, if Glover has his putter working even a little bit, or if he gets hot on approach, Sedgefield should set up perfectly for success. Don’t sleep on him when you’re making the tough lineup choices.
