There isn’t a bad bet among the super-premium salaries this week at the Wyndham. Webb Simpson at $10,000, Dufner at $10,400, Kevin Kisner and Henrik Stenson both over $11,000. I even began this week with Kisner in my lineup. But when you look down the roster and need to find six quality starts, I felt that keeping the extra $1,000 in the pocket was worth it, and plugged in Bill Haas.

Haas admittedly hasn’t been playing his absolute best recently, having gone four straight starts without a top-25 finish. However, he’s enjoyed quite a bit of success at this semi-home game, played just a few hours’ drive away from his hometown of Charlotte.

Over the last five years, Haas hasn’t finished any lower than 22nd at the Wyndham Championship. He’s got three top-ten finishes in that stretch, with a tie for second in 2014 leaving him just a shot behind champion Camilo Villegas.

Haas has been a top-25 machine in 2017, and he ranks 16th in adjusted scoring. Regardless of what else you do with your lineup this week, you can’t do much better than Haas as your anchor.
