All Square – match will be halved

Tee Time: 8:34 am local time (CT)

This is the match that will have all of us biting our nails. With two deeply experienced and highly skilled Solheim Cup competitors and two talented rookies facing off against each other, how could it be anything other than a halved match?

More from Solheim Cup

Creamer and Ernst may start with a psychological advantage. Creamer, playing with her good friend Morgan Pressel, defeated Nordqvist and Suzann Pettersen in the opening foursome match at St. Leon-Rot in 2015 3 & 2.

But Anna Nordqvist is no pushover and her overall game is in much better condition than Paula Creamer’s going into this match. Much will depend on how the two rookies perform.

Austin Ernst is a scrappy competitor who’s worked very hard to get her first shot at playing for Team USA in the Solheim Cup. If she can let Creamer guide her the Americans should be able to stay even with the Europeans.

The wild card in the match is Georgia Hall, a talented athlete I’ve predicted could well end up being Team Europe’s secret weapon in Des Moines.
