Team USA: Stacy Lewis & Gerina Piller over Catriona Matthew & Karine Icher

Tee Time: 8:46am local time (CT)

Lewis and Piller have the advantage in this anchor match. They’ve won foursome competitions at the 2015 Solheim Cup and at the 2016 UL International Crown.

Piller and Lewis are tuned in to each other’s games and they complement each other beautifully. If you’re a Team USA fan, you can plan on polishing off your morning enjoying them play together like a well-oiled machine.

Catriona Matthew is an experience competitor but she came to Team Europe late in the preparation process, shifting from vice-captain to player when Suzanne Pettersen withdrew on Wednesday. Icher does not have a strong performance record in this format and Matthew will be forced to compensate for her playing partner’s game weaknesses.

I look for this one to be a runaway for Team USA.
