Charley Hoffman may be tired of finishing second, as he told his caddie at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, but there’s no doubt he’s enjoying his 2017 season immensely. And, more often than not, so are his Daily Fantasy owners.

That Hoffman hasn’t won this year is a disappointment, sure, but it also doesn’t hurt when it comes to keeping his salary down. The veteran has finished inside the top three twice in his last three starts, at both the RBC Canadian Open and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. If you’re looking for positive momentum in your DFS lineup, you’ve come to the right place.

Hoffman bears similar value in your lineup to Finau, averaging 71.7 fantasy points per outing against just a $7,900 salary. Add in the frequency with which Hoffman has worked his way into legitimate winning contention, and you start to see the true height of his ceiling.

In his past seven starts, Hoffman has exceeded the point-per-hundred baseline four times. Despite ranking just 61st on TOUR in greens in regulation, Hoffman more than makes up for it in scoring, with four birdies per round, good for 14th on TOUR.

I’m looking for Hoffman to pick up his game even more in these Playoffs. Best to get in on this one while the price is right.
