The Northern Trust: DraftKings Daily Fantasy Value Picks
As we’ve touched on a few times here, the Playoffs are going to be ridiculously top-heavy, almost to the point where you’re going to feel forced to go with more high-priced players than you normally would. This week’s picks have been built to accommodate that. You may have to go toward the bottom of the barrel, salary-wise, for a guy to fill out your roster, but build the top of your team right, and you’re going to be in good shape.
Enter Brooks Koepka. At $9,100 on DraftKings, he boasts just the ninth-highest salary of the week. We’ll get to the five-figure club in just a moment, but the Playoff format dictates that we, too, are a bit more aggressive in our plays. You could definitely do worse than the player who tied the all-time lowest score to par in U.S. Open history.
In most weeks, Koepka would be our clear leader. He chews up basically any course he plays, and he’s consistently going low. Ranked fifth in birdie average and 12th in eagles, Koepka matches his remarkable power with lights-out putting, and that formula will work anywhere in the world.
Koepka can easily be the leader on your team, but if you play your budget right, you’ll want to see what else we’ve got in store.
