The top 125 are assembled for the first round of the playoffs at The Northern Trust. Who could make some noise from the bottom of the standings?

If you’ve qualified for this week’s The Northern Trust at Glen Oaks, you’re obviously doing something right this season.

The top 125 on the FedEx Cup points list are here for the first of four rounds of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which trims to 100, then 70 and 30 with each event.

All but No. 124 Vaughn Taylor, who made 16 of 21 cuts this year, have at least one top-10 finish and 95 of the 125 in the field are career winners.

No. 125 J.J. Henry had about as much TV time on Sundays as you or I this season, but he’s kept his card consistently for over a decade and summoned a T16 last week at the Wyndham Championship to make this week.

Moral of the story: Any of these guys are capable of jumping up to win.

Heath Slocum won the first leg of the playoffs as No. 124 in 2008. Who could follow in his footsteps this week?

Let’s dive in.

Note: Sergio Garcia (No. 22), Brandt Snedeker (No. 64), Adam Scott (No. 66), Scott Piercy (No. 85) and Dominic Bozzelli (No. 115) are not in this week’s field.
