A trio of former European Ryder Cup members headline the field this week as Paul Peterson aims to defend his title at the D+D REAL Czech Masters.

The European Tour continues its current trek through mainland Europe to the continent’s 14th largest city, Prague, for the D+D REAL Czech Masters.

The tournament was recently extended through 2023 at Albatross Golf Resort, host to the tournament’s fourth edition this summer. All three past champions, Jamie Donaldson, Thomas Pieters and Paul Peterson, are in this week’s field.

John Daly will also be in the field. The 51-year-old is fresh off of a T10 last week at the Made in Denmark, his highest finish on the PGA Tour or European Tour in two years.

Fourteen Czechs are in the field with Challenge Tour player and world No. 1,428 Filip Mruzek the highest-ranked of the bunch. Four are amateurs.

This week also marks the first tournament counting toward 2018 European Ryder Cup team qualification. Qualification for the United States team began on Jan. 1.

Here’s a look at five players who could be in the mix to win the Czech Masters on Sunday.
