Patrick Reed battled through a tough year in 2017, never bad but also never getting into the kind of rhythm needed to live up to lofty expectations. This was a year in which many looked at Reed as a player who could win his first major championship.

To be fair, Reed did wind up coming close, finishing tied for second at the PGA Championship, but for the most part, it was still a somewhat disappointing year. He had just a pair of top-ten finishes (the SBS Tournament of Champions and Travelers Championship) before the PGA, and has thus far failed to win an event for the first time when playing a full slate.

That doesn’t mean all is lost – quite the opposite, really. Reed’s finished in the top five in each of his last two trips to TPC Boston, and especially from a Daily Fantasy perspective, it’s hard to ignore his potential in any given week.

Reed has been under par in seven straight rounds at the Dell Technologies Championship, and if you can work around a horrible closing effort at The Northern Trust, he’s been just as good lately.

Patrick Reed is a momentum type of player. We’ve seen it in the Ryder Cup, and we’ve seen it in his five PGA TOUR victories. You want him on your team when he’s getting hot, and this price is perfect.
