Paul Casey has a lot going for him right now. First off, he’s playing great golf. How great? Dating back to the Masters, Casey has played in ten PGA TOUR events. He’s finished in the top-25 in nine of them. The one he didn’t? He finished in 26th place at the U.S. Open. Five of those weeks he finished inside the top-ten, including three fifth-place finishes in his last five starts. You’d be hard-pressed to find that kind of consistency anywhere else.

Let’s look a little deeper, though. Last year at TPC Boston, Casey had a three-shot lead entering the final round of the Deutsche Bank Championship. Yes, he lost to Rory McIlroy, when Casey shot a final round 73 to McIlroy’s 65, but how did he get there in the first place?

It’s surprisingly simple. Casey shot three consecutive rounds of five-under 66 to get to -15 through 54 holes. With that kind of scoring, and with birdies weighted so much heavier than bogeys on DraftKings, you have to love the potential that Casey carries into the second FedEx Cup Playoff event.

At $8,900, he’s a solid value, and the closest comparison would be Louis Oosthuizen at $9,100. That savings isn’t much, but given the lower number, I’ll save the money and spend it elsewhere.
