I promise I don’t have an English bias, but Fitzpatrick is another from a strong stable of English players in the field this week who appears to be a reliable pick.

Since missing the weekend in his Omega European Masters debut in 2014, Fitzpatrick has taken a liking to Crans-sur-Sierre. He tied for seventh last year and was runner up in 2015.

If it weren’t for an opening 75 last year, it could have been Fitzpatrick’s week to win. That was the only blemish in his last eight rounds at C-s-S which otherwise consist of rounds in the 60s.

Fitzpatrick is in the top 50 in most of the European Tour’s statistical categories. His recent form hasn’t been phenomenal with no top-25s since June, but it seems to be a matter of stringing four good rounds together.

Still a youngster out on Tour at age 23, I don’t see this dip lasting too long. Fitzpatrick could have another strong week in the mountains this week.
