Omega European Masters top 10 player power rankings
If not only for his stellar play in 2017, the Austrian Wiesberger should find some fanfare this week playing in his neighboring country.
Until missing the weekend at the PGA Championship in his last start, the 32-year-old owned the longest cuts made streak on the European Tour at 28. That stretch included a win in April at the Shenzen International.
What better week to start a new streak than at a course he’s played well at in the past?
Wiesberger’s made four straight cuts here, including a T6 in 2012 and T13 in 2014.
His iron play has been fantastic this year, per usual, as he’s hit 71.44 percent of greens in regulation. If he’s giving himself a lot of birdie looks to overcome an up-and-down putter, Wiesberger could pick up his first multi-win season since 2012.
