BMW Championship Power Rankings: Top ten at Conway Farms
The 70 remaining players in the FedEx Cup Playoffs tee it up this week at the BMW Championship. Who will leave Conway Farms with their ticket to the 30-player Tour Championship? Let’s find out.
And then there were two.
No, we’re not down to two players in the race for the FedEx Cup. There are two FedEx Cup Playoff events left, and in two short weeks, we’ll see who is bringing home a $10 million prize, and the honor of calling themselves a FedEx Cup Champion.
We can’t get too far ahead of ourselves, though. This week at Conway Farms Golf Club, the top 70 players on the PGA TOUR will battle to see who gets to live on to next week at “Hot-lanta”. There is no cut, just four rounds of golf to separate the winners from the pack.
The field is arguably the strongest in all of golf due to its very nature. 70 players all have had to qualify for this tournament based on their results. Only 30 will move on, and there are plenty of players who are on the “bubble” right now – some will make it, others will not.
Open since 1991, Conway Farms has consistently hosted several of golf’s top events, including a men’s NCAA Division I championship, a Big Ten Championship, qualifiers for both the U.S. Open and the Open, and a U.S. Mid-Amateur. 2017 will mark the third time in five years that the Tom Fazio design has hosted the penultimate FedEx Cup Playoff event.
We’re breaking down you top ten contenders here today. Let’s jump in.
