I’ve long been on Team Reed, but as we know, it’s less of a bandwagon and more of a roller-coaster thrill ride. He’s always been a bit of a streaky player, and that makes him tougher to rely on in daily fantasy formats. That being said, the streak is firmly on the good side right now, and I’m confident in plugging Reed into my lineups.

Reed has four top-ten finishes on TOUR this season, and two of them have come in his last three starts. The PGA Championship (T2) and the Dell Technologies Championship (T6) boasted similarly strong fields, and Reed has been performing like the top player we always knew (or were told) he could be.

Not many of Reed’s stats truly stand out on a season-long basis, but he is ranked fifth on TOUR in strokes gained: putting, and 21st in total strokes gained. I’m never going to doubt a guy who’s got his putter working, especially when you think about how many big numbers can be avoided on the greens.

The Presidents Cup is right around the corner, and Reed will be looking to improve on his 22nd-place ranking heading into the Tour Championship. I’m taking Reed as a high-ceiling, high-floor play in a no-cut week.
