Speaking of fresh faces on the European Tour, enter Julian Suri. The Duke grad hailing from the USA has made himself right home across the pond.

The 26-year-old carved up the Challenge Tour this season and has made the most of limited European Tour starts to achieve full status in impressive time.

He made the cut in his first four sanctioned or co-sanctioned European Tour events in 2017 before his recent crescendo.

A tie for 16th at the Porsche European Open preceded a win at the Made in Denmark and two more top-35s in a row.

Suri’s stats won’t blow you away, but at 14th in driving, he has a leg up on the field if the rest of his game is clicking.

He’s also consistent.

Aside from a missed cut at The Open, which came on the fifth of five tournaments in a row, Suri’s missed the weekend just twice worldwide and never since July. That amounts to a 69.82 stroke average, good for second best on Tour only 0.01 behind Tommy Fleetwood.

This will be his fourth week in a row here in Denmark, but why stop if you’ve got a good thing going?
