European Tour: Portugal Masters top 10 power rankings
From one Dane to the next brings us Thorbjørn Olesen.
The 27-year-old has played well all year, but his best results have come recently.
A T14 in his last start two weeks ago at home at the Made in Denmark made it nine cuts made in a row.
Olesen owns his team win with Bjerregaard at May’s GolfSixes. He’s also had close individual calls this season with a T4 at the Nordea Masters and a T3 at the Open de France, finishing two and four shots off the pace, respectively.
Olesen has also held his own against elite international fields, going T10 at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and making the cut at The Open and PGA Championship.
Since missing the cut at the Portugal Masters in his rookie year in 2011, Olesen has made the weekend in each of his next four starts at this event save for 2013 when he did not play.
Olesen can crush the ball and is a solid putter. He’s not a very straight driver, but as long as he can keep it in the park he should be fine. Talent-wise, Olesen is one of the top bets this week.
