Casey highlighted our Power Rankings this week based on the incredible form he’s displayed pretty much all season. Most of that carries over into our DFS rankings, as well.

He’s got four top-five finishes in his last six starts alone, including the first two FedEx Cup Playoff events. He’s hardly had a finish outside the top-25 for six full months, and he’s shown no signs of slowing down.

And of course, there’s his history at East Lake. Casey has spent most of his career focused on the European Tour, but when he’s made it to the TOUR Championship, he’s been successful every single time. In three appearances, he’s never finished worse than fifth.

We could go through all the stats, and they’re all really, really good. From tee-to-green, Casey is among the best players in the world today. But this is where the key part of our strategy comes into play.

This TOUR Championship field is ultra top-heavy. To me, there aren’t too many real values to be had below, say, the $7,500 mark where we got Webb Simpson. I usuall make room for at least one five-figure salary in my lineups, but this week, you may not want to handicap yourself with that price tag. Keeping the majority of your lineup under $9,000 gives you some flexibility, but it also raises your floor considerably.

Paul Casey is the kind of player who has all the skills to win this week, but won’t cripple you with an off week. Consider me all-in.
