Tony Finau is still a star on the rise on the PGA TOUR. That sounds odd to say about a guy who already has a win under his belt. But it’s true when you realize this guy has potential that we haven’t even scratched yet.

Finau just finished his third full season on TOUR, and even though he didn’t win a second tournament, he did enjoy a career year in terms of the money list, the FedEx Cup and his world ranking. With eight top-ten finishes (compared to just two in 2016) and over $2.8 million in earnings, the 28-year-old jumped from 81st at this time a year ago, to being inside the top 50. He was in the Presidents Cup conversation late in the year, and you know he’ll be targeting Paris this time around.

Finau’s game is still in fine shape, as well, with four top-ten finishes in his last eight starts, including both the BMW Championship and TOUR Championship. He’s not a killer putter, but that won’t handicap him too much in this season opener. Ranked 17th in greens-in-regulation percentage and 11th in birdie average for the 2016-17 TOUR season, look for Finau to pick up right where he left off two weeks ago.
