Marc Leishman has chosen the CJ Cup in Korea to make his 2017-18 season debut, and it couldn’t come at a better time. The Aussie is well-rested, having taken the first two weeks of the new season off after a tough run at the Presidents Cup.

Still, as little of an “offseason” as there is these days, it’s not like Leishman has had too much of an opportunity to get any rust on his swing. It was just a month ago, after all, that the 33-year-old claimed the title at the BMW Championship. That was the culmination of a late-season run that included four top-ten finishes in his final eight starts. It was also his second title of the year following the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Leishman finished last season ranked fourth on the PGA TOUR in adjusted scoring, and with 16 top-25 finishes in his 25 starts, it’s clear that his game knows few boundaries. That will prove to be an advantage this week at a course where everybody is playing on the same experience level.

Leishman has made some incredible strides in his game over the last 12 months, and it wouldn’t be a surprise in the least to see him come out on top at Nine Bridges this week.
