The 2017-18 PGA Tour schedule rolls on this week with a trip to the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Who will come out on top in Sin City?

The PGA Tour returns to the United States for this week’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

After a three-week stint in Asia, this week’s field is split between players coming back from out east and those who have waited patiently for their next start since the Safeway Open in early October.

The host course this week is TPC Summerlin, a track that has known to produce some extremely low scores. Since 2010, the average winning score is 21-under-par.

The weather this week will not be extremely hot as Las Vegas is prone to be, but it will be dry. Temperatures are expected in the 70s and the course should be playing fast as usual.

There isn’t too much trouble on the way to the greens at Summerlin, so this week likely come down to a contest of who can knock it closest and make the most putts.

The tournament’s defending champion is Rod Pampling, who has not had a top-10 on the PGA Tour since. With a shootout in the gambler’s paradise that is Las Vegas, that just shows what can happen when someone hits a hot streak at the right time.

With that said, predicting future success is exactly what I aim to do with my ten picks for this week’s Shriners Hospital Open. Let’s dive in.
