Paul Dunne has eliminated the rookie blues to have an outstanding sophomore season on the European Tour. The 24-year-old Irishman nabbed his first career win against a solid field at the British Masters last month.

That put the cherry on top of a season that includes as many missed cuts (five) as top-10s in 24 starts worldwide. He was runner-up at the Trophee Hassan II back in April and tied for seventh at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in October.

His win in England got him into last week’s WGC-HSBC Champions where he tied for 38th in one of his few career starts in Asia.

This week will be his first start at Regnum Carya.

If the Turkish Airlines Open is decided on the greens, Dunne’s got a great chance. He leads the European Tour in putts per round (28.12) and putts per GIR (1.715).
