ANTALYA, TURKEY – NOVEMBER 05: Bernd Wiesberger of Austria hits his second shot on the 18th hole during day three of the Turkish Airlines Open at the Regnum Carya Golf /

Bernd Wiesberger is a safe bet just about any week. The 32-year-old Austrian has been a machine in 2017 making 22 of 25 cuts. His pace has cooled somewhat as the three misses have come in his last six starts.

Nonetheless, Wiesberger’s latest start was a T9 at the WGC-HSBC Champions and he was also T9 at the KLM Open in September.

Two of Wiesberger’s three European Tour wins have come against relatively weak fields, so this is a week for him to assert himself as more than just a steady player on the circuit.

He came close to grabbing the trophy last year at Regnum Carya. Wiesberger placed solo fourth on the strength of four sub-par rounds, two of them 66s. He finished five off the lead.

Wiesberger also tied for eighth at this course when it hosted a Challenge Tour event in 2010.
