Tommy Fleetwood has had a stranglehold on the top spot of the Race to Dubai rankings for some time now. Granted, he’s played in at least nine more events than his closest three competitors.

He can’t surrender his over 800,000 point lead this week, but those at the top are drawing slightly closer.

Fleetwood enters with solid form as evidenced by a T25 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, a T6 at the Italian Open and a T20 last week at the WGC-HSBC Champions.

The 26-year-old Englishman has won in Abu Dhabi and France this year and has two runner-up finishes. Few hit it as well as Fleetwood, who’s GIR and driving accuracy percentages are in the 70s lately.

Fleetwood tied for 22nd at last year’s Turkish Airlines Open with two rounds in the 60s on the weekend.
