RSM Classic Power Rankings: Top ten at Sea Island
Kevin Kisner earned his first career win at the 2015 RSM Classic, which was just the beginning for the 33-year-old. He’s now equipped with another win (2017 Dean & Deluca Invitational), a US Presidents Cup team appearance and firm standing in the world top 50. Not bad for a guy who was the epitome of a journeyman throughout his 20s.
Kis will not be sleeping in his own bed like over a dozen players are this week, but it’s still somewhat of a home game. Kisner lived in Sea Island for a few months while his home in his native Aiken, South Carolina, was being built, as reported by Golf Channel’s Rex Hoggard.
His resume at Sea Island is solid well beyond 2015. Don’t let a missed cut last year fool you; Kisner tied for fourth in 2014 and has two other top-30s here.
This year was a career year as Kisner had seven top-10s against just two missed cuts in 24 starts.
In 2016-17, Kisner was 19th in driving accuracy and 33rd in proximity from the fairway.
