Francesco Molinari may have the best career resume at the DP World Tour Championship among non-winners. The Italian’s qualified for this event every year since 2009, and each year has finished on the upper half of the leaderboard.

Molinari, 35, owns four top-10s at this event, including tying for fourth two years running. He shared the 36-hole co-lead last year but two closing rounds of 70 weren’t enough for him to get it done.

He is 19th on the European Tour in driving accuracy, which serves him well this week.

Entering this week, Molinari skipped the Turkish Airlines Open and tied for 27th last week in South Africa. He’s not far removed from a T6 at the Italian Open in October.

All it takes is a decent week for Molinari to stay in the top 10 in the Race to Dubai, but he’ll surely be dreaming bigger.
