Alex Cejka is on a roll, both in recent weeks and historically at the RSM Classic.

First, Cejka, 47, has posted two straight top-10s after a middling PGA Tour season. The one-time PGA Tour winner lost a three-man playoff to up-and-coming Patrick Cantlay at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open two weeks ago. Cejka carded a final round 63.

Undeterred from the near miss, Cejka got back in the mix to grab a T9 at the OHL Classic where he shot in the 60s each day.

In his last start at the RSM Classic, Cejka tied for sixth in 2015 and posted three consecutive 67s to begin the tournament.

The German has been dialed in with his irons so far on the young 2018 season. He’s third in fairway proximity (26’7″) and fifth on approaches from 50-125 yards (12’5″). His short game’s been solid and he hasn’t missed from inside four feet in four fall starts.

I don’t know how long Cejka’s hot streak will last, but he maintains quality sleeper status this week in Georgia.
