At this time in 2016, Julian Suri was ranked outside of the world’s top 1,000 and was fighting for spots on the Challenge Tour. Now, he’s inside the top 100 and a European Tour winner.

Suri vaulted into the big leagues thanks to a late May win on the Challenge Tour. The 26-year-old American kept it rolling with a win at the European Tour’s Made in Denmark in August.

He made quick work in earning enough points to play in the Race to Dubai Final Series. Once there, Suri made the most of it.

The Duke University graduate tied for eighth at the Turkish Airlines Open, tied for 42nd at the Nedbank Golf Challenge and tied for eighth at the DP World Tour Championship last week. Before the Final Series, Suri tied for eighth at the Valderrama Masters.

Suri (68-68-68-68) was one of only three players to post four rounds in the 60s in Dubai last week.

For the year, Suri is in or near the top 50 in scrambling, putts per round and driving distance.
