Thongchai Jaidee’s been on the world circuit for quite a long time. He’s seen a lot of things in his two-decades long career, but there’s still one thing he’s never experienced. Leaving Hong Kong without a lot of cash in your pocket

The 48-year-old Thai has printed money at the UBS Hong Kong Open going back to 2000. Jaidee’s only got into contention a few times in his 14 starts at this event, but he’s never finished outside the top 50, either.

Here’s his ridiculously impressive and consistent run of golf — 2000: T21, 2001: T13, 2002: T48, 2004: T39, 2005: T7, 2006: T3, 2007: T2, 2008: T19, 2009: T11, 2010: 15, 2011: T15, 2012: T10, 2015: T13, 2016: T14

Before the train gets off the rails, it is important to note that Jaidee’s recent form is quite opposite of what he’s shown historically in Hong Kong. Jaidee enters coming off of four missed cuts and did not qualify for the Race to Dubai Final Series.

He does own a T9 in September at the Omega European Masters and owns three other top-15s in 2017.

Jaidee is one of the shortest hitters on the European Tour (178th in driving distance), but his short game and good enough iron play has helped him succeed on a short course like HKGC. Jaidee is 31st in scrambling in 2017 and was third in 2016.
