This Thanksgiving Day, we’re taking a look back at five of the things we’re thankful for in golf from 2017

It’s Thanksgiving once again, a time to reflect on the year that has passed, and to appreciate all the good things we have in our lives. Hopefully you have some time to spend with your loved ones, and that you’ll have far more than your fill of turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie.

As golf fans, we have plenty of things to be thankful for. Our great game has entered a new era in the 21st century, and every year seems to top the one before. From the dominance of young stars, to more fan-friendly tweaks on the traditional style of the sport, things are changing, and they’re almost entirely for the better.

As the PGA TOUR is in the middle of its winter break, and the European Tour’s Race to Dubai just ended, we’re taking this time on Thanksgiving to look at five things we were thankful for in golf in 2017. This list is far from comprehensive, of course, but that’s by design. We want to hear from you, so make sure you reach out to us on Twitter or on Facebook (@ProGolfNow) and let us know what you’re thankful for this year.

Take another helping of stuffing and loosen your belt a few notches. Let’s get started.
