One of the European Tour’s best fields of the season is assembled this week for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship

Save for the World Golf Championships and majors, which are co-sanctioned by the European Tour, you’d be hard pressed to find many more European Tour events that can top this week’s field.

World No. 1 Dustin Johnson is one of three top-ten players in the field. He joins No. 11 Rory McIlroy, who can climb back into the top ten with a high finish in his first start since early October.

Also in the United Arab Emirates this week is 2017 Race to Dubai champ and defending champ Tommy Fleetwood as well as several other past champions and Ryder Cup team members.

It’s setting up to be an exciting week and, surprise, the weather forecast is setting up to be perfect. I wish I were there.
