Alexander Lévy had a solid week in Malaysia last year to finish in a tie for fourth and just four off the winning total. He was in the 60s all four rounds.

Lévy finished a career best 21st in the 2017 Race to Dubai and is on track to best that once more in 2018. Lévy’s played fabulously in the UAE, taking seventh in Abu Dhabi and fourth in Dubai. He was a combined 35-under in those two events and has been under par 14 rounds in a row.

Lévy is a spirited player who can use his energy for good and occasionally to his detriment.

“I just feel my game is there, and I just need to put my mind in a good way. I think it’s only that, and try to enjoy and don’t try too hard to have the results, and just enjoy,” Lévy said after Dubai. “We have a nice life and I played good some golf, so just enjoy.”

Lévy is going for his fifth European Tour win. He’ll need to pick at least one up if he wants a chance at qualifying for the European Ryder Cup in his native France. Winning this week would be a good, foreseeable start.
