ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth: Top six picks on the European Tour
Could Jason Scrivener make it back-to-back hometown champions at the World Super 6 Perth?
All signs point toward the 28-year-old Aussie getting into contention.
Scrivener tied for second through 54 holes of stroke play at this event in 2017 before falling in the semifinals and third-place match to settle for fourth place.
That still wasn’t his best finish in Perth. Scrivener now has five starts at Lake Karrinyup all ending in a top 30, the best being a T3 in 2016.
Scrivener’s form leading into the week has been excellent, too.
He missed the cut last week in Malaysia only by one and was under par. The week prior, Scrivener fired three rounds in the 60s to post a T6 against a strong field in Dubai. To his name is also a PGA Tour of Australasia win in November.
His strength is around the greens where he was 15th in scrambling last season. If he can drive anywhere like he did to lead the field in Dubai with 73.2 accuracy, he’ll be a tough out this week.
