Marc Leishman makes his way to the Genesis Open where he’s finished inside the top 20 three times in his career. The event’s been on his schedule every year since 2010, and it’s one the Aussie could very well win.

His best result was a T5 in 2016 where he was in the 60s all four rounds to finish just three shots out of a playoff.

"“This is one of my favorite golf courses all year,” Leishman said during the 2016 tournament. “When I first came here, this is actually one of the courses I thought I would be able to do really well around.”"

The 34-year-old had a career year in 2017 with two wins and two more top-threes. In that season he was top 50 in all strokes gained categories and comfortably made the TOUR Championship.

He’s off to a decent start in the 2018 calendar year evidenced by a T8 at the Farmers Insurance Open and a T31 in Phoenix.

Leishman is fresh off a week of rest, which is a good thing considering his two wins last year came after a week away from competition.
