The course has only been around five years, but the NBO Oman Open is set to give Al Mouj Golf its true worldwide debut this week on the European Tour.

The NBO Oman Open debuts on the European Tour schedule this week at Al Mouj Golf in Muscat, Oman. This course has hosted the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final as the closing event on the Challenge Tour schedule.

Al Mouj is a Greg Norman design with links elements blending into the Indian Ocean coast. Views of the Hajjar mountain range are numerous.

The course is a par-72 measuring to 7,365 yards.

The course is relatively exposed which can be challenging in conditions windier than what’s expected.

Weather for the week looks ideal with temperatures in the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit and minimal wind or rain.

The tournament will end on a 465-yard par-4 that ranks as the No. 8 handicap hole. The front nine is the nine to score on as it boasts six of the eight easiest holes on the course.

European Tour stars aren’t flocking to this event, and some like Tommy Fleetwood and Alex Noren are stateside for the PGA Tour’s Genesis Open.

Nonetheless, there’s plenty of players in Oman who are looking to continue good form. For many, winning this week would make a significant mark on their careers.

Here are 10 who could become the first to hoist the trophy at the NBO Oman Open.
