Clement Sordet has dominated the Challenge Tour since turning professional in 2015. Can he make the leap on the European Tour?

There are signs to say he’s not far off.

He won his first tournament as a professional at the Northern Ireland Open in August 2015 and won three more times, the last coming here at Al Mouj at the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final.

Sordet posted 15-under (68-67-68-70) to win by two. He aced the par-3, 168-yard No. 8 hole on Friday.

That win allowed him to finish second in the Road to Oman standings.

Sordet, a former all-American at Texas Tech University, posted a T10 in his first start with a European Tour card late in 2017. He’ll be well rested with four weeks off between his last start.

He’s in the top 50 early on in 2018 in sand saves and scrambling.
