Kiradech Aphibarnrat may be a sleeper pick this week, especially for those whose golf consumption is fixated on the PGA Tour. The big Thai has played well across the pond on the European Tour, and he’s bringing his budding game and a trail of vape smoke to the United States .

Aphibarnrat, 28, is up to a career best 37th in the Official World Golf Ranking. He’s fresh off of a win at the Euro Tour’s ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth two weeks ago.

This will be his Honda Classic debut, but he may take a fast liking to PGA National. Aphibarnrat has the iron play to fare well here; he was 28th in greens in regulation on the Euro Tour in 2017 and drives the ball well when his game’s clicking.

Aphibarnrat has made ten cuts in a row worldwide dating back to September. He also has two wins in the span.

The four-time European Tour winner’s best career finish on the PGA Tour is a T3 at the 2013 CIMB Classic. His best effort in the United States was a T6 at the 2015 Arnold Palmer Invitational. This is his first start in the US since 2016.
